gaming phoneConvenience is the name of today’s game, being able to play whenever and wherever we want to tick a great many boxes for a lot of people and being able to play over all popular platforms is important.

Having the right devices that are perfect for gaming is also important, and there are some great pieces of kit out there if you know where to look.

Below we are going to take a look at a few of the best gaming phones on offer in 2020.

Firstly, you actually need a gaming phone to play on the go, you can settle with a more mainstream device like the OnePlus 8 Pro, the iPhone 11 Pro or the Samsung Galaxy S20 range for a great experience, but if you do fancy having a gaming device then read on.

  • The Nubia Red Magic 5G is exceptionally good for gaming and was released back in March this year. Its 144Hz display is perfect for gaming and the shoulder triggers come in very handy too. The screen isn’t the most high-resolution you can get and the device did have some software bugs on release but the smooth refresh rate is still one to drool over.
  • Another beauty is the Black Shark 3 which was also released back in March 2020. From the Xiaomi sub-brand the Black Shark 3 might not beat some of the more expensive gaming devices but it is very affordable and comes with surprisingly capable cameras although the refresh rate might not be as quick as some of the other gaming devices out there.
  • The Razor Phone 2 contains some gaming specific features which actually outshine its everyday ones. With top-line specifications and a 120hz refresh rate display the Razor Phone 2 unfortunately has a smaller 5.72 inch screen (which in all honesty is still pretty cool for gaming.) It also boasts a backside logo that glows in millions of RGB hues.
  • The Asus ROG Phone 3 was built from the ground up for gamers and came out in July this year. With a great screen size of 6.59 inches and a 1080 x 2340 resolution the Asus ROG Phone 3 sports a fantastic 144Hz Amoled screen and also has a battery with long life. Combine those impressive specs with air triggers and other gaming modes built in the only thing that seems to let this device down a little is that there is no wireless charging and it comes with no waterproofing rating.
